ZenGrab LaneWatch
Some bus lanes can be monitored using traditional CCTV cameras. However, the cameras are often in an inconvenient location to see the bus lane or the resources to monitor large numbers of enforcement cameras are not possible. It is in these circumstances that the ZenGrab LaneWatch can provide a highly cost effective enforcement solution.
ZenGrab LaneWatch outstation is a compact unit consisting of:
• Colour Overview CCTV
camera • Mono ANPR CCTV Camera
• IR Illuminator • ANPR
Reader
• Ruggedized Processor • Image Storage
Device (pre & post event)
• GPS Receiver (time / location) • 3G
Wireless Transceiver or ADSL
LaneWatch continually monitors traffic using the bus lane. Within the published operating hours (user definable) the LaneWatch will compare captured vehicle registration marks (VRM) with an onboard ‘white list’ of authorised vehicles. Where the VRM does not appear on the list, the image of the VRM together with a (user definable) clip of pre and post event video is recorded. Added to this recording is the relevant metadata such as time/date/field numbers and GPS location which together form the contravention evidence. Once formed, the evidence is encrypted, packaged and fragmented for transmission via 3G or ADSL to the Evidence Retrieval Server which authenticates and reforms the evidence fragments before passing the complete clip to the Evidence Transfer Server for CEO review using ZenGrab Review and subsequent transfer to the back office Notice Processing System – whatever that may be.
