ZENGRAB CAPTURE STATION

The ZenGrab Capture Station and software interface existing CCTV traffic cameras with the ZenGrab Digital Enforcement Suite. The Capture Station is an ‘attended’ digital video recorder that allows a CCTV operator to capture video evidence of possible contraventions taking place.

The ZenGrab Capture software is what makes the Capture Station so effective and efficient in operation. Operators are automatically guided through the legislative requirements of attended enforcement, ensuring compliance at every stage.
When starting an enforcement shift the operator is invited to sign in to the system, a process driven by the connected back-office NPS system. The session recording then begins and the operator is reminded to perform an ‘orientation sweep’ for each of the cameras they will be using during the shift. This ensures that the correct signage is in place before any contraventions are captured.

The digital video recordings can be made in either MPEG2 or the latest H264 formats. The operator can use the touch screen or keyboard to identify the start point and end point of any possible contravention. The identified clip is then copied from the session recording and sent for review. Note that the operator that records the contravention cannot then review that same contravention, preventing any possible conflicts of interest.
